Hungary citizens can enter Andorra without a visa. You only need a valid Hungary passport at the border; immigration officers may still ask for a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and enough money for your stay.

Travel insurance

The EU Visa Code requires applicants for a Schengen visa for one or two entries — Andorra's government says travellers who need a Schengen visa must hold a double-entry or multiple-entry one — to prove they hold travel medical insurance with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000. The UK government says the EHIC and GHIC are not valid in Andorra and to take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance before travelling.

Registration after arrival

Tourist accommodation must record each client's arrival and departure dates, name, surname, nationality and date of birth in the Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Register, and send these data to the Police Service by a secure electronic channel at a frequency set by regulation. Every client except under-16s must hand over an identity document for this. The UK government says hotels and tourist apartments must register the names of all overnight guests with the police, and you must provide your passport details.

Overstay penalties

365 days

A foreigner under the tourist regime may not stay in Andorra more than ninety days from entry, within the 365 days after entry. A foreigner who breaks this is in an irregular situation. Administrative expulsion applies to a foreigner who was notified of irregular status and did not leave within the set time; the expulsion may not exceed two years.
