What the Azerbaijan visa rules mean for Brunei travellers
Brunei passport holders need an eVisa to enter Azerbaijan. You apply online, upload a passport scan and a photo, pay the fee and receive the visa by email; it allows stays of up to 30 days. Apply at least one to two weeks before your trip and print the approval — some airlines and border officers ask to see it on paper.
The main option is the e-Visa (single entry), which costs 20 USD with a processing time of —.
Documents to prepare
Whatever your visa status, Azerbaijan applies the same entry conditions to every traveller:
- Passport validity: Azerbaijan's e-Visa portal says the expiry date of your passport or other travel document should be at least 3 months later than the expiry date of the e-Visa.
- Travel insurance: No official source we could read states an insurance requirement for visitors. Canada's travel advice says to make sure you get travel insurance that includes coverage for medical evacuation and hospital stays.
- Return or onward ticket: No official source we could read states whether Azerbaijan requires a return or onward ticket.
- Proof of funds: No official source we could read states a proof-of-funds requirement or amount for Azerbaijan.
