Germany passport holders can get a visa on arrival in Burundi — no application is needed before the trip.

Germany's Federal Foreign Office says German nationals need a visa, issued only as a visa on arrival at Bujumbura airport, and that travellers can either complete the visa application online in advance on the Burundian migration authority's website and pay the fee by credit card, or pay the visa fee in cash in USD on arrival at the airport.
