Hungary passport holders need an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) before travelling to Canada for stays of up to 180 days.
Visa-exempt foreign nationals need an eTA to fly to or transit through a Canadian airport. They do not need an eTA when arriving by car, bus, train or boat (including a cruise ship).

No official source we could read makes travel insurance an entry requirement for visitors. The UK FCDO says medical treatment can be very expensive, that there are no special arrangements for British visitors, and advises insurance for local treatment or unexpected medical evacuation.

IRCC says you must have enough money for your stay; the amount varies with how long you stay and whether you stay in a hotel or with friends or relatives. You must also convince a border services officer that you have ties, such as a job, home, financial assets or family, that will take you home.

A foreign national who fails to leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for their stay is issued an exclusion order. An exclusion order obliges the person to obtain written authorization to return to Canada during the 1-year period after it was enforced.
