Costa Rica Visa Requirements for Hong Kong Citizens

Visa required

Hong Kong passport holders need a visa for Costa Rica, issued by an embassy or consulate before travel.

Costa Rica's visa directives say Hong Kong and Macao nationals holding valid British or Portuguese passports are treated as first-group nationals, needing no visa and staying up to 180 days; those without that travel document need a consular visa under the rules for the People's Republic of China.
