The US State Department says that on 18 December 2025 Gabon's Council of Ministers announced that Gabon would suspend visa issuance to US citizens, in reciprocity with similar restrictions imposed by the United States on 1 January 2026, and that US citizens considering travel to Gabon should check with the nearest Gabonese embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date entry requirements.
