What the Ghana visa rules mean for Italy travellers
Italy passport holders need an eVisa to enter Ghana. You apply online, upload a passport scan and a photo, pay the fee and receive the visa by email. Apply at least one to two weeks before your trip and print the approval — some airlines and border officers ask to see it on paper.
The main option is the Tourist Visa (B2), eVisa, which costs 260 USD. Ghana also offers Business Visa (B1), eVisa — see the visa options above.
Documents to prepare
Whatever your visa status, Ghana applies the same entry conditions to every traveller:
- Passport validity: Ghana's eVisa applicant guide says the passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the applicant's intended date of departure from Ghana and must have at least 3 blank pages.
- Blank passport pages: Your passport needs at least 3 blank pages.
- Vaccinations: Yellow fever: A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate or card is required for entry into Ghana and may be checked at the port of entry. Travellers without it may be referred to airport health officials for the applicable health …
- Travel insurance: No official source we could read states a travel-insurance requirement for Ghana.
