IGM's tariff regulation sets USD 50 for a single visa (visa simple) and USD 150 for a multiple visa (visa múltiple) among the documents issued by Guatemalan diplomatic or consular missions abroad.
Mauritania citizens need a visa issued in advance by an embassy or consulate of Guatemala. Start the application several weeks before departure: you will typically need a passport valid for six months with blank pages, a completed application form, passport photos, a travel itinerary, proof of accommodation and of sufficient funds, and sometimes an invitation letter or bank statements.
The main option is the Consular Visa (B), which costs 50 USD.
Whatever your visa status, Guatemala applies the same entry conditions to every traveller:
Guatemala lets 86 passports in without a visa and requires an embassy visa from 112. Mauritania citizens are treated the same way as Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana and Burkina Faso. Overall the Mauritania passport ranks #155 in the world with 26 visa-free destinations.
