Nepal citizens need a visa issued in advance by an embassy or consulate of Mozambique. Start the application several weeks before departure: you will typically need a passport valid for six months with blank pages, a completed application form, passport photos, a travel itinerary, proof of accommodation and of sufficient funds, and sometimes an invitation letter or bank statements.
The main option is the Tourist visa (Visto turístico).

Entry requirements for MozambiqueDecree 10/2023 requires the citizens it exempts from the visa to hold a passport valid for at least six months, and the eVisa portal asks for a passport valid more than 6 months. The UK government says you also need at least 2 blank pages for entry stamps.

The eVisa portal lists confirmed return tickets among the documents for a tourist eVisa application. Decree 10/2023 requires the citizens it exempts from the visa to hold a return air ticket, except when travelling by land, and proof of accommodation. No official source we could read states the requirement for the other visa-exempt nationalities.

Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs says that if you overstay your visa, you will be fined for each day you were in Mozambique illegally. The Government of Canada says you may be fined for each day you illegally reside in Mozambique. It also says to make sure customs officials inspect and stamp your passport and visa on entry, to avoid possible fines when leaving.
