Huai Nam Dang National Park

Huai Nam Dang National Park is one of 152 national parks in Thailand. It covers 1,252 km² (125,200 ha) — about 80% of the size of London, making it the #11 largest national park in Thailand (1.8% of the country's national park area).

History and protection

The park was established in 1995, 31 years ago — the first national parks in Thailand date back to 1962. It is listed in IUCN category II: National Park — protecting whole ecosystems while welcoming visitors for recreation and education.
