Mozambique Enhances Migration Services to Boost Tourism
Mozambique's Chamber of Commerce and the National Migration Service are collaborating to improve migration services and the e-Visa system, enhancing the travel experience for tourists.

In an effort to improve migration services and promote tourism, the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce (CCM) and the National Migration Service (SENAMI) have initiated discussions aimed at enhancing the efficiency of border services. This collaboration was highlighted during a recent meeting where key issues regarding migration services were addressed.
Focus on e-Visa System
During the meeting, Rogério Gomes, President of the CCM Tourism Department, emphasized the importance of streamlining the e-Visa process. He noted that improving public services at border crossings is essential for enhancing the overall experience for travelers entering Mozambique.
Training and Communication Improvements
Another critical point raised was the need for better dissemination of migration legislation and the training of migration officers in English. This initiative aims to improve communication with international tourists, making their entry into the country smoother and more efficient.
Preparations for the Festive Season
The meeting also included discussions on preparations for the upcoming festive season of 2026/2027. The importance of coordination among various institutions involved in migration services was underscored, ensuring that tourists receive the best possible support during their travels.
This dialogue is part of the CCM Tourism Department's broader strategy to enhance Mozambique's competitiveness in the tourism sector, signaling a commitment to improving services for visitors to the country.
