Important Update on Saudi Transit Visa for Kuwait Airways Passengers

Kuwait Airways has provided important information regarding the Saudi transit visa for passengers traveling through Saudi Arabia. This update is crucial for travelers who may need to enter Saudi Arabia as part of their itinerary.

Transit Visa Requirements

The Saudi transit visa allows eligible travelers to remain in Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours while transiting to another destination. Passengers must ensure they have a valid passport, a confirmed travel itinerary, and any necessary visas for their final destination. It is essential to check that the type of Saudi visa aligns with your travel plans.

Current Airport Operations

Kuwait International Airport is currently operating through Terminals 4 and 5, with Terminal 1 closed. Kuwait Airways operates from Terminal 4, and travelers should verify their terminal and flight details before heading to the airport. Reduced flight schedules may affect travel plans, so checking flight status is advisable.

Who is Affected?

Passengers flying with Kuwait Airways who have itineraries that include transit through Saudi Arabia need to be aware of the visa requirements. This applies particularly to travelers whose tickets indicate a departure from Dammam, as they may require additional documentation.

What Travelers Should Do

Before traveling, passengers should confirm their flight status, terminal, and visa requirements directly with Kuwait Airways. It is also recommended to prepare necessary documents, including a personal photo and a copy of your passport, when inquiring about visa assistance. Indian nationals should note that the facilitation of Saudi transit visas by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait has been discontinued, and they should check directly with the airline or relevant Saudi visa channels for updates.

Travelers are encouraged to stay informed about any changes to entry requirements or airport operations to ensure a smooth journey.
