What size is a Saudi Arabia passport photo?
The official Saudi Arabia passport photo size is 40×60 mm (1.57 × 2.36 inches). For a digital file that is 472 × 709 pixels at 300 dpi, or 945 × 1417 pixels at 600 dpi if you want extra sharpness for printing. From chin to the top of the head the face must measure 42–48 mm, which is 70–80% of the photo height. The eyes should sit 18–28.8 mm below the top edge.
The background must be light grey, evenly lit and without shadows or patterns. Look straight at the camera with a neutral expression and your mouth closed, keep both eyes open and visible, and remove glasses if they reflect light or hide your eyes.
Same size in other countries
The same 40×60 mm format is used for passports in 13 other countries, including Bahrain, Cambodia, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan and Laos. Worldwide the most common passport photo size is 35×45 mm (127 countries), so do not reuse a 35×45 mm photo for a Saudi Arabia passport.
Saudi Arabia also sets photo rules for saudi evisa – legacy visa.visitsaudi.com photo spec (200×200 px) (35×45 mm), national id (40×60 mm) and work permit (iqama) (40×60 mm) — pick the document in the tool above to get the right crop.
