Registration is compulsory before providing the service, whether in hotels, hostels, rented houses, flats or rooms, or through platforms such as Airbnb, and the foreigner's identification data must be entered correctly so that it reaches Migraciones. The obligation has applied since 10 December 2024. Providers are fined 1 UIT for not asking for the foreigner's documents or for not registering them, and 2 UIT for not sending the data to Migraciones.
