Mauritania citizens can enter Syria without a visa. You only need a valid Mauritania passport at the border; immigration officers may still ask for a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and enough money for your stay.

The Government of Canada says visitors who intend to stay in Syria for longer than 14 days must register with the Syrian Immigration and Passports Office before the 15th day after arrival. The Government of Canada says that for travellers on a tourist visa this applies each time they enter Syria, with a single-entry or a multiple-entry visa.
