Burkina Faso citizens can enter Togo without a visa and stay for up to 90 days. You only need a valid Burkina Faso passport at the border; immigration officers may still ask for a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and enough money for your stay. The 90-day limit usually counts calendar days from your arrival, so book your return flight inside that window.

A foreigner who stays in Togo without the appropriate authorisation, or after the period fixed by the authorisation has expired, faces 3 to 12 months' imprisonment and a fine of 200,000 to 500,000 CFA francs, or one of these two penalties (art. 27). A foreigner who is late in extending a visa may be fined 250,000 CFA francs (art. 21).
