What the Zimbabwe visa rules mean for Cape Verde travellers
Cape Verde passport holders can get a visa on arrival in Zimbabwe. There is nothing to apply for in advance — the visa is issued at the airport or land border after you pay the fee. Bring cash in a major currency, a passport valid for at least six months, a return ticket and the address of your first night's accommodation, and expect a queue at busy airports.
The main option is the Visa on Arrival, which costs 30 USD. Zimbabwe also offers KAZA UniVisa (Zimbabwe + Zambia) — see the visa options above.
Documents to prepare
Whatever your visa status, Zimbabwe applies the same entry conditions to every traveller:
- Passport validity: The UK government tells British nationals that to enter Zimbabwe their passport must have an expiry date at least 6 months after the date they arrive, and 3 blank pages.
- Blank passport pages: Your passport needs at least 3 blank pages.
- Vaccinations: Yellow fever: The UK government says that to enter Zimbabwe you must have a certificate proving yellow fever vaccination if you are coming from a country listed as a transmission risk.
- Travel insurance: No official source we could read states a travel insurance requirement for Zimbabwe.
