What the Azerbaijan visa rules mean for Moldova travellers
Moldova citizens can enter Azerbaijan without a visa and stay for up to 90 days. You only need a valid Moldova passport at the border; immigration officers may still ask for a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and enough money for your stay. The 90-day limit usually counts calendar days from your arrival, so book your return flight inside that window.
Documents to prepare
Whatever your visa status, Azerbaijan applies the same entry conditions to every traveller:
- Passport validity: Azerbaijan's e-Visa portal says the expiry date of your passport or other travel document should be at least 3 months later than the expiry date of the e-Visa.
- Travel insurance: No official source we could read states an insurance requirement for visitors. Canada's travel advice says to make sure you get travel insurance that includes coverage for medical evacuation and hospital stays.
- Return or onward ticket: No official source we could read states whether Azerbaijan requires a return or onward ticket.
- Proof of funds: No official source we could read states a proof-of-funds requirement or amount for Azerbaijan.
