Visa & Entry Requirements for Bangladesh
Most travellers can visit Bangladesh without going to an embassy: 9 passports enter visa-free and 128 get a visa on arrival.
Bangladesh’s Visa Policy 2026 says nationals of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Japan, South Korea, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Turkey, the UK and other European countries travelling for tourism and business will get a visa on arrival for 30 days (single entry) at the designated port of entry, granted after the immigration authority examines the invitation and relevant documents; the immigration police give the fee as US$50 excluding processing fees, or as decided by the authority. The immigration police’s eligibility checker tells nationalities such as Indian citizens to obtain a visa from the nearest Bangladeshi mission, and says citizens of Barbados, Bhutan, Fiji, Ghana, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago need no visa to enter and stay for not more than 90 days.
