Visa & Entry Requirements for Cameroon
Most travellers can visit Cameroon without going to an embassy: 6 passports enter visa-free, 192 apply online for an eVisa.
Cameroon's eVisa portal says you can only apply for a visa to enter Cameroon online at evisacam.cm; an approved application is followed by biometric enrolment and the visa sticker, either at the entry border post or at a Cameroonian diplomatic or consular post. The Embassy of Cameroon in Japan says a valid visa is required to enter Cameroon under Law No. 97/012 of 10 January 1997 as amended, that ordinary passport holders apply and pay exclusively through the online portal, and lists Nigeria with free movement for everybody; the UK and Canadian governments say their citizens must have a visa. Under a 2013 CEMAC additional act, nationals of CEMAC member states (Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Chad) may travel without a visa and stay in another member state for up to ninety days.
