Cameroon citizens need a visa issued in advance by an embassy or consulate of Egypt. Start the application several weeks before departure: you will typically need a passport valid for six months with blank pages, a completed application form, passport photos, a travel itinerary, proof of accommodation and of sufficient funds, and sometimes an invitation letter or bank statements.

The eVisa portal lists a travel itinerary and hotel bookings or details of the places you will visit among the documents to show on arrival, and the Egyptian Consulate in Washington asks visa applicants for a copy of a round-trip ticket.

The UK government says that leaving Egypt on an expired visa may bring difficulties, including a fine if the visa expired more than 14 days earlier. The Canadian government says you may be fined on departure if you overstay your 30-day visa without authorisation. No Egyptian official page we read states the amount.
