Flag of EgyptVisa & Entry Requirements for Egypt

Most travellers can visit Egypt without going to an embassy: 3 passports enter visa-free, 78 apply online for an eVisa and 44 get a visa on arrival.

Egypt's Ministry of Interior issues tourist e-Visas through visa2egypt.gov.eg (30 USD single entry, 65 USD multiple entries) to nationals of the countries listed on the portal. The UK and Canadian governments say their citizens can also get a visa on arrival, paid in cash in US dollars, and the UK says visitors who fly into Sharm El-Sheikh and stay less than 15 days at the resorts of Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba or Taba get a free entry permission stamp instead. For nationalities not on the portal's list, no official page we could read states the rule, except where the Egyptian Consulate in Washington or the traveller's own government names it.
