Official application site →India passport holders need an eVisa to enter Egypt. You apply online, upload a passport scan and a photo, pay the fee and receive the visa by email. Apply at least one to two weeks before your trip and print the approval — some airlines and border officers ask to see it on paper.

No official source we could read states a return or onward ticket requirement for every visitor. The eVisa portal lists a travel itinerary and hotel bookings or details of the places you will visit among the documents to show on arrival, and the Egyptian Consulate in Washington asks visa applicants for a copy of a round-trip ticket.

The UK government says that leaving Egypt on an expired visa may bring difficulties, including a fine if the visa expired more than 14 days earlier. The Canadian government says you may be fined on departure if you overstay your 30-day visa without authorisation. No Egyptian official page we read states the amount.
