Southwest Airlines has announced the launch of new seasonal flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, set to begin in June 2027. This expansion will include three new international destinations: Nassau in the Bahamas, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and Liberia in Costa Rica.
New Routes and Schedule
The new flights will operate on weekends from June 3 to August 2, 2027. Southwest will offer Saturday and Sunday services to Nassau, Punta Cana, and Liberia, providing travelers with more options for summer getaways.
Additional Domestic Services
In addition to the international routes, Southwest will also introduce seasonal weekend flights to Savannah, Georgia, and Saturday-only flights to Bozeman, Montana. These routes are part of the airline's effort to enhance connectivity for both business and leisure travelers.

The addition of these international flights is expected to strengthen the travel options available to residents of Central Texas. According to Ghizlane Badawi, the airport CEO, these new routes will improve the region's connectivity and provide more travel opportunities for the community.
