Philippines Introduces Visa-Free Entry for 46 African Nations
The Philippines has launched a visa-free entry policy for citizens of 46 African countries, excluding Nigeria and several others. This initiative aims to boost tourism and business travel.

The Philippines has recently announced a new visa-free entry policy for citizens of 46 African countries, allowing them to stay for up to 30 days without a visa. This initiative is part of the country's efforts to enhance tourism and business opportunities.
Who is Eligible?
Citizens from various African nations, including South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, and Burkina Faso, are eligible for this visa-free entry. To qualify, travelers must possess a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay and have a return or onward ticket.
Countries Not Included
Notably, Nigeria, along with Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan, has been excluded from this visa-free scheme. These countries, despite being part of Africa, will still require a visa to enter the Philippines.
Extended Stay Options
For those who wish to extend their visit, passport holders from the eligible countries can apply for an additional 29 days, allowing for a total stay of up to 59 days in the Philippines.
This new policy reflects the Philippines' commitment to becoming more accessible to international travelers and fostering greater tourism and investment in the region.
