Philippines Offers 30-Day Visa-Free Entry for 46 African Nations
The Philippines has announced a 30-day visa-free entry for citizens of 46 African countries, including South Africa and Kenya, aimed at boosting tourism and investment. However, Nigeria, China, and India are excluded from this arrangement.

The Philippines has introduced a new policy allowing citizens from 46 African countries to enter the country without a visa for up to 30 days. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to enhance tourism and attract foreign investment.
Visa-Free Entry Details
Eligible travellers must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond their planned stay and possess a return or onward ticket. The countries included in this visa-free arrangement are South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, and Angola, among others.
Exclusions from the Policy
Notably, Nigeria, China, and India are not included in this visa-free entry scheme. Chinese visitors can stay for up to 14 days under different regulations. The Philippines maintains a broader visa-free list that encompasses 157 countries, although specific rules apply to certain nationalities.
Extending Your Stay
Travellers entering under this visa-free policy can apply for a 29-day extension through the Philippine Bureau of Immigration, allowing for a maximum stay of 59 days. This extension is an option for those wishing to explore more of what the Philippines has to offer.
This new visa policy reflects the Philippines' commitment to making the country more accessible to international visitors. The government aims to boost the tourism sector, which has shown significant growth in recent years, contributing to the economy and job creation.
