Remaining in Singapore after a pass expires, without reasonable cause and without other authority to remain, is an offence. For an unlawful stay of up to 90 days: a fine of up to S$4,000, or up to 6 months' imprisonment, or both. For more than 90 days: up to 6 months' imprisonment and caning of at least 3 strokes.
