Bosnian passport holders get visa-free Azerbaijan stays of 30 days from August 2026
Azerbaijan has waived visas for ordinary passport holders from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore travelling for tourism from 1 August 2026 to 1 August 2027. Visitors may enter up to three times and stay 30 days per visit.

Azerbaijan has removed the visa requirement for ordinary passport holders from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore who are travelling to the country for tourism. The measure, announced by Azerbaijan's State Migration Service, took effect on 1 August 2026 and runs through 1 August 2027.
Key facts
- Who: holders of ordinary passports from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Singapore
- Purpose: tourism only
- Validity: 1 August 2026 to 1 August 2027
- Entries: up to three visa-free entries during the period
- Stay: up to 30 days per visit
Who is affected?
The visa waiver covers citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore holding ordinary passports who are visiting Azerbaijan for tourism. The State Migration Service said the measure is intended to make travel easier, strengthen bilateral cooperation and promote tourism.
How long can I stay and how often can I enter?
Eligible travellers may enter Azerbaijan up to three times without a visa during the designated period, with each stay lasting up to 30 days. The arrangement applies from 1 August 2026 through 1 August 2027.
What if I am not travelling for tourism?
Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore travelling for purposes other than tourism, or planning to stay beyond the permitted period, must obtain the appropriate visa under Azerbaijan's immigration regulations before entering the country.
Registration and longer stays
The State Migration Service also reminded foreign nationals staying temporarily in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days that they must register at their place of stay under the Migration Code. Those who are eligible to extend their temporary stay or apply for a temporary residence permit can submit applications through the "Migration Services" desk at ASAN Service centres or through the State Migration Service's electronic services portal.
What this means for travellers
Tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore can plan visa-free trips to Azerbaijan within the one-year window, keeping each visit to 30 days or fewer and no more than three entries. Anyone travelling for work, study or other non-tourism purposes, or staying longer, should arrange the correct visa before departure.
The waiver is time-limited and is due to expire on 1 August 2027. The State Migration Service has not stated what will happen after that date.
