Kazakhstan's Service Passport Holders to Enjoy Visa-Free Travel to Belgium and Benelux
From November 1, 2026, holders of Kazakhstan’s service passports can travel visa-free to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, enhancing diplomatic relations between these countries.

Starting November 1, 2026, holders of service passports from Kazakhstan will be permitted to enter Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg without a visa. This announcement was made by Jean-Luc Crucke, the Belgian Federal Minister for Mobility, during discussions in Akorda.
What Changes
The introduction of visa-free travel for Kazakhstan’s service passport holders marks a significant development in bilateral relations. The decision coincides with a state visit by the King and Queen of Belgium, which celebrates 20 years since the establishment of the Belgian Embassy in Astana.
Who is Affected
This new entry rule specifically benefits individuals holding service passports from Kazakhstan, allowing them easier access to the Benelux countries for official purposes.
Future Cooperation
During the visit, a roadmap for cooperation between the foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Belgium will be established, outlining key areas for collaboration until 2029. This includes sectors such as trade, logistics, healthcare, and renewable energy.
What Travellers Should Do
Holders of Kazakhstan’s service passports planning to travel to Belgium, the Netherlands, or Luxembourg should prepare for their trips starting from the effective date of this visa exemption. It is advisable to stay informed about any additional entry requirements or travel advisories that may be issued closer to the travel date.
This development not only facilitates travel for Kazakh officials but also reflects the strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and the Benelux nations, with a significant increase in mutual trade and investments noted over the past decade.
