New Entry Requirements for Uzbek Travelers to Egypt Starting November 1
From November 1, 2026, Uzbek citizens will face new entry requirements for Egypt, including advance visa applications and proof of sufficient funds.

Starting November 1, 2026, Uzbekistan will implement new entry requirements for its citizens traveling to Egypt. These changes were announced by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo and will include several important regulations that travelers must adhere to.
What Changes Are Being Introduced?
Uzbek travelers will now be required to obtain an entry visa in advance through Egyptian diplomatic missions. Additionally, all tourist trips must be organized through authorized tour operators. This marks a significant shift in the travel process for Uzbek citizens.
Who Is Affected?
The new rules particularly impact Uzbek citizens under the age of 40, who must travel accompanied by close relatives such as parents, spouses, or children. For families, it is mandatory to have a minimum of $5,000 in cash available for their stay. Those over 40 who wish to travel independently must carry at least $3,000 in cash.
Requirements Upon Arrival
Upon entering Egypt, travelers will need to provide proof of hotel reservations, mobile communication details, and evidence of sufficient financial resources. It is important to note that tourists will not be allowed to change their visa type while in Egypt, and failure to present the required documentation may result in denied entry and return on the same airline.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan has urged its citizens to carefully consider these new requirements when planning their trips to Egypt to ensure a smooth travel experience.
