Visa & Entry Requirements for Indonesia
Most travellers can visit Indonesia without going to an embassy: 19 passports enter visa-free, 94 apply online for an eVisa and 79 get a visa on arrival.
Indonesia offers a visa on arrival — which can also be applied for online as an e-VoA — costing IDR 500,000 for a stay of up to 30 days, extendable once, to citizens of the countries on its list, and admits the nationals on its visa-free list (among them Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brazil and Türkiye) for up to 30 days without a visa. Indonesian Customs says every passenger entering or leaving Indonesia must submit a digital customs declaration, which is free. Indonesia's Immigration Law (Law No. 6 of 2011) says every foreigner entering Indonesia must hold a valid visa that is still in force, unless that law or an international agreement provides otherwise.
