Air Serbia Adds Miami and Five More Routes From Belgrade Next Summer
Air Serbia will launch six new routes from Belgrade next summer season, including Miami, Yerevan, Helsinki, Cluj, Chisinau and Menorca. Tickets go on sale on 20 October.

Air Serbia will open six new routes from Belgrade next summer season, including two weekly flights to Miami from May — its latest long-haul destination. Chief executive Jiri Marek announced the expansion on the "RTS" public broadcaster on 19 October 2026. Tickets go on sale on 20 October.
Key facts
- Six new routes from Belgrade: Yerevan, Helsinki, Miami, Cluj, Chisinau and Menorca
- Miami launches in May with two flights per week
- Sales open on 20 October
- Air Serbia will serve nine destinations in Spain and three in the United States
- Chisinau marks the airline's first entry into the Moldovan market
Which routes are launching, and when?
Yerevan is due to start in late March, followed by Helsinki in April. Flights to Miami will operate twice weekly from May, and Cluj in Romania follows in late May. Chisinau in Moldova and Menorca in Spain are both scheduled for June.
What is new for each destination?
Miami becomes Air Serbia's third destination in the United States and takes its Spanish network to nine points once Menorca opens. Menorca is the second largest of Spain's Balearic islands and joins Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Alicante, Seville and Tenerife. The Spanish market has been one of the airline's best performers this year. Cluj is Air Serbia's second Romanian destination after Bucharest, while Chisinau is a new market entirely. With Yerevan added, the airline will serve three Caucasus capitals alongside Tbilisi and Baku.
Two of the routes are returns rather than new launches. Air Serbia began flying Belgrade–Helsinki on 1 June 2019 with Airbus A319 aircraft three times per week, but suspended the service in March 2020 after the coronavirus pandemic broke out and has not resumed it since. Plans for Belgrade–Chisinau were first announced in February 2020 with four weekly flights, but the launch was cancelled amid pandemic travel restrictions and the route never materialised.
Why is Air Serbia launching Miami?
The airline has been examining nonstop Belgrade–Miami flights since 2023. The route could draw on the sizeable diaspora from the former Yugoslavia in Florida and the wider southeastern United States, the airline's considerations suggest. Miami is also a major gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, creating opportunities for connecting traffic through an existing interline agreement with American Airlines, which operates an extensive network from its Miami hub. The city is additionally one of the world's leading cruise ports, offering potential demand from passengers travelling from Southeast Europe to join Caribbean cruises.
What competition will the airline face?
On Yerevan, Air Serbia will face direct competition from FlyOne Armenia, which plans to start flights between the two capitals this December. FlyOne has recently extended its initial schedule past the winter season into next summer.
What this means for travellers
Passengers planning travel between Belgrade and Miami, Yerevan, Helsinki, Cluj, Chisinau or Menorca in the coming summer season can look for fares from 20 October, when tickets go on sale. Exact frequencies have been given only for Miami, which will operate twice weekly.
The airline has not published specific launch dates for any of the six routes beyond the months announced. Further details on schedules are expected to follow as the summer season approaches.
