Air Serbia has announced a new route between Belgrade and Miami, its first destination in Florida and its third in the United States. Flights are due to begin on 20 May 2027 and will operate twice weekly.

The airline described the route as a step forward for its long-haul network, saying it would improve links between the region and North America, as well as onward travel options to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Key facts

  • Route: Belgrade to Miami
  • First flight: 20 May 2027
  • Frequency: twice weekly
  • Existing Air Serbia U.S. routes: New York-JFK and Chicago O'Hare
  • Air Serbia's only other North American destination: Toronto

What is changing?

Air Serbia will begin serving Miami from its Belgrade base next spring, giving travellers a direct link between Serbia and Florida. The carrier already flies to New York-JFK and Chicago O'Hare, while Toronto remains its only other destination in North America.

In its statement, the airline called the route "a major milestone in the development of Air Serbia's intercontinental network".

Which other routes are Air Serbia launching?

Beyond Miami, Air Serbia said it will add five more destinations in 2027: Yerevan in Armenia, Helsinki in Finland, Cluj-Napoca in Romania, Menorca in Spain, and Chișinău in Moldova.

Exact start dates and frequencies for those routes have not been announced.

What this means for travellers

Travellers heading to Florida from Serbia will have a direct option from 20 May 2027, with two flights a week. Those already flying with Air Serbia to the U.S. continue to have New York-JFK and Chicago O'Hare available.

The airline also frames the Miami route as a way to reach Latin America and the Caribbean via connections, though no specific onward destinations or connection details have been published.

No fares have been announced for the new service.

What happens next

Flight schedules and tickets for the Belgrade–Miami route are expected ahead of the 20 May 2027 launch. Start dates for the other five new destinations due in 2027 have yet to be confirmed.
